About Us

Life Beyond Abuse, Inc., is a grassroots volunteer-based community organization which offers support and treatment to all members of the cycle of abuse. Life Beyond Abuse provides the opportunity for all members caught in abusive cycles to initiate and continue life changes that will substantially reduce or eliminate abuse in their lives.

Objectives:

• To nurture, support, and empower victims to take necessary steps to exit the cycle of abuse by involvement in counseling, support groups, and peer counseling
• To provide avenues for self-expression through the development of allied therapies programs in dance, art, music, and writing
• To provide assistance to victims involved in custody, visitation, and support issues
• To refer perpetrators for counseling to recognize violent situations, and to initiate and continue life changes for lives beyond abuse
• To provide more objective perspectives to all parties through counseling
• To prevent further escalation of violence by educating the community and individuals about what constitutes abuse and how to restructure abusive situations
